DWC Day 9: What Is One Thing You Use Every Day?

Day 9: What is one thing you use every day?
I will be the first to admit that the one thing I probably use the most during my day is my phone. When the iPhone first came out, I swore up and down that I would never own one. “There’s no point to owning a phone that does all that extra stuff. All you need to do is talk and text.” Then, when I bought my Mac, it came with an offer for a free printer or a free 8GB iPod Touch. I already had a printer, but I was still working with a Walkman CD Player, so I decided I’d take the free iPod Touch. That completely changed my entire perspective on getting an iPhone.
I still didn’t end up getting an iPhone until grad school because of the price of them at the time, but now that I have one, I can’t imagine ever owning a different kind of phone. I use it for everything, and I’m on it pretty consistently throughout my day. I talk back and forth pretty non-stop through the day with my best friend, either through texting or phone calls, and we also play several iPhone games together. I have all of my email accounts going through it as well as my social media accounts. I’ve even written a blog post with my phone before; however, that’s a pain in the neck, and I probably wouldn’t do it again.
Good job, Apple, for recruiting another slave to your technology through crafty promotions. I only went looking for a computer to use for Student Teaching, and now I have one of the most expensive phones on the market. Haha
