Day 12: Who are your best friends?
Haha, well, I feel like I talk about them enough that this post should be a given, but we’ll go with it anyway.
I’ve known him for less than a year, but in that time he’s become probably my closest friend. He’s kinda crazy just like me (maybe a little more ^_^), and we’ve had some pretty good times together. We’re able to tell each other anything without judgment (although there’s plenty of laughing at and making fun involved), and we’re both just “go with the flow” friends. We can go out and have a good time, but we’re both perfectly alright with staying in and watching tv or movies all day/night. We’ve been known to take road trips from where I work to Myrtle Beach, and then there are days when we just sit around listening to Madonna and other music all day long. I think I’d go crazy(ier) without him around, and I’m really glad I met him when I moved back to St. Clair temporarily from Springfield. ^_^
Hm, what to say about Stephanie. We’ve also had our fair share of crazy moments together…though not quite as crazy. We tend to have a lot of laughable moments over the weirdest things. Stephanie really enjoys playing board games, and we do a lot of that when we’re together. Our common song (which I wrote about before in 5 Songs for 5 Friends) is Airplanes by B.O.B. feat. Hayley Williams from Paramore, and we’ve been known to take 2 or 3am trips to Wal-Mart’s clearance aisle and to Steak and Shake just for the heck of it. She was my closest co-worker at Missouri State University, and it figures that right as she moves back and gets a job in Missouri, I got a job out of state and moved to North Carolina.
Oh Renee. Good times were had during our management training time at McDonalds as well as our random trips to Starbucks, Orange Leaf, and other odd spots around Washington. We’d venture to the park or hang out at work when we weren’t working, and we spent a lot of time putting away the caffeinated beverages from Target Starbucks while aimlessly walking the store with absolutely no goal in mind.
Of course, I have other friends who deserve honorable mentions as well, because they were close to me. I just don’t get to see them as often anymore. ^_^
Amanda LeBrun, Angela Schmalbeck, Mary Rhodes : Still missing all of your awesomeness from our time together in Springfield. 🙂
